Westfall Helps Clean Dirty Water
Westfall’s solutions for purifying water utilize tried and true technology, as well as cutting edge, patented designs.
DE Filters to Clean Fracking Wastewater?
We recently received a package from Texas containing a Mason jar filled with dirty water, sent to us by a rep whose customer wants to clean wastewater from a fracking operation. They want to be sure the water they put back into the earth is clean and safe.
Fracking generates hundreds of thousands of gallons of wastewater that has to be treated. Together we’re looking at using DE polishing filters for cleaning the water. Diatomaceous Earth filters are very efficient, economical and well-known for reliable service.
We Know DE Filters
Westfall has a long history in the DE Filter marketplace. We trace our beginnings to our founding in 1945 as an OEM for companies like Builder’s Iron Foundry (BIF) and others. We have several customers in the US and abroad who have relied on DE Filter systems for many decades to provide clean water, and we continue to keep them supplied and running smoothly.
Clean Drinking Water in Michigan
Another DE filter is going to a university in Michigan. This 450 sq. ft. filter will replace a 1984 original that is now showing wear. “We couldn’t possibly get better waters,” says the customer.
Saving Space & Reducing Construction Costs
A water supply company in Texas just specified a Model 6000 Mixer for its system. The fact that the mixer delivers complete mixing in only 3 diameters is crucial to reduce required laying length.
They stated, “The Westfall Model 6000 Static Mixer is an approved alternate static mixer for the chemical feed vault. If the 6000 mixer is selected, the interior length of the chemical feed vault can be reduced from 16′ down to 11′.” – That’s a saving of 5 feet in lay length.
Model 2800: Pure Water for Beer
An 8-inch Alloy 20 Model 2800 Static Mixer is going to Texas for use in a beer company’s water purification process.
Cleaning Products & the Model 2800
Two 4″ Westfall Model 2800 Mixers fabricated in PVC are going to a chemical plant in Maryland, where they manufacture consumer cleaning products.
